2010 Tough Season with BT Racing

In 2010 Barry-John returned to the Dunlop Abarth Championship with a fully rebuilt car and with BT Racing having a better insight to the Abarth he was full of confidence. The season started great with a second place in Kirkistown and after a race long battle for the win he was sure his problem’s from the previous season were behind him. After the first 6 races Barry-John was right in the championship hunt until a massive crash in Anglesea in Wales really put a stop to that. With over €9,000 worth of damage the team did a fantastic job to repair the car and with a new colour scheme they were hoping for better look, but over the next 4 races a hidden brake problem caused both Barry-John and the team a lot of heartache and trouble and with 3 dnf’s in a row that was Barry-John’s chance of salvaging anything from the season was over. By the Leinster Trophy race the problem was sorted and he was able to battle the front runners for podium’s but all in all a disappointing end to the season.
Barry-John had massive support this season from his sponsors Tom Kane Recovery, JH Autobody, Thrifty Car Rental, Speedy Tyres Artane, McHenry Car Sales, Artane Auto Centre and Cable technics.
