In 2013 Barry-John picked a number of events to do instead of a full Championship like the previous 7 years. He did a number of Ford Fiesta Races with mediocre success and unfortunately quite a bit of damage. He also raced in Silverstone on the Grand Prix Circuit in his Fiat Punto Abarth and showed real pace. He raced with the British Alfa Romeo Championship again run by Kellett Motorsport and as always was grateful to his ever reliable Sponsors.
